About Us
At Cowan, we celebrate several years of ongoing improvement to our academic programs, which has led to the growing success of our students. Recently, we have been awarded the District title of Excelling Magnet, earned LAUSD's prestigious STEM Certification, and remain the only Spanish World Language Immersion program in our District.
Following the 2017-2018 school year, our students and teachers were successful in maintaining our double digit performance gains on the state's standardized testing platform, Smarter Balanced. Cowan is proud to have achieved top improvement gains within our regional performance sectors in both English Language Arts and Mathematics.
