Cowan Avenue Elementary offers our students multiple avenues to experience their musical education.
We are pleased to offer our second year in partnership with Manhattan Beach based Lynn Kleiner's Music Rhapsody. Under the directorship of the very talented teacher, Ms. Adrienne Henze, all Cowan students learn the fundamentals of musicianship and movement using the Orff Approach.
Our 4th, 5th, and 6th graders also participate in a District hosted Orchestra program under the guidance of Mr. Mark Geiger. With many years of experience in the District, Mr. Geiger brings a comprehensive music instruction program for students at all performing levels. From beginning winds to advanced strings, Cowan students receive the support they need to develop their instrumental skills.
